Globe and Touch Mobile subscribers can pay selected Dragonpay merchants using either their prepaid load or be billed using their postpaid line. To use this service, the mobile subscriber must first make a one-time enrollment to the service by doing the following:
Once enrolled, you can select this option easily next time and confirm each payment transaction by replying with our One-Time Password (OTP). An OTP will be sent to your registered mobile number each time your phone will be charged. This is to protect you from unauthorized use. The OTP has to be entered correctly at our payment page before a payment can be completed.
Subscribers can opt-out of the subscription anytime by texting STOP to 21585858. All text messages sent and received from 21585858 are free of charge.
How is the amount to be charged computed?
Because of the higher cost involved in processing and handling mobile operator-based billing, Dragonpay tacks on a 40% service premium on top of the amount requested by the merchant. If you do not agree with this fee, please select a different mobile payment option like GCash or BanKO from our list.
Furthermore, Globe’s carrier billing currently does not support variable amounts. It has to fall under one of the following denomination in PHP: 8, 15, 20, 30, 40, 50, 70, 100, 125, 150, 180, 200, 240, 270, 300, 330, 360, 375, 400, 420, 450, 480, 500, 525, 550, 600, 625, 675, 700, 750, 800, 825, 875, 900, 1000. So after adding the 40% premium, Dragonpay rounds up the amount to the nearest denomination that matches the amount due.
As an illustration, if the merchant requests PHP100, we will first add 40% making the total come out to PHP140. Then rounding up to the nearest denomination, the amount of PHP150 will be charged to you.
Note: this service is only open to Globe networks subscribers. Smart and Sun subscribers cannot use this service.
