You may make online payments to Dragonpay-accredited merchants using your UCPB Connect Internet banking facility.

Step 1

Choose UCPB Connect from the payment list of Dragonpay.  You will be prompted to confirm your email address.  Upon confirmation, an email instruction will be sent.  Open the email and follow the instructions.

Login to UCPB Connect.   If you do not have an account yet with UCPB Connect, click the link for “New User” and register online.

UCPB Connect Login Screen

Step 2

From the left sidebar menu, go to the very bottom and click Generate Transaction Password. UCPB Connect requires that all financial transactions use a transaction password for security reasons.  This password is for one-time use only and is different from your login password.  Every time you make a transaction, you  have to choose this option to generate the password.

UCPB Connect Generate Transaction Password

You will be given two options on how you will receive your transaction password.  You can choose either Email or SMS.

Step 3

From the left sidebar menu, go to Transfers >> To Another UCPB Account.  Choose the bank account that you want to serve as the fund source.  Click the Another UCPB Account radio button and enter Dragonpay’s bank account number 201980005011.

For Transfer Amount, make sure to type in the exact amount due in your email instruction from Step 1.  Enter the Transaction Password generated in Step 2 into the corresponding text box.  Finally, in the section on “Please inform the receiver about this transaction”, make sure to check Email and specify ucpb@dragonpay.ph as the recipient email address (This is very important so read this carefully!)

Step 4

Review the fund transfer detail one more time.  Make sure the account to transfer to is Dragonpay’s Account 201980005011.  Double-check the transfer amount for correctness and that recipient notification is set for ucpb@dragonpay.ph.  If everything looks in order, click the Confirm button.

Step 5

UCPB Connect will display a summary of the transaction.  Take note of the Transaction Number.  You may highlight and copy it into your clipboard.  UCPB Connect should also send a confirmation email which will contain this same Transaction Number.

UCPB Connect Fund Transfer Completion

Step 6

Click on the validation link in item #2 of your email instruction from Step 1.  You will be redirected to a page which will prompt for the Transaction Number.  Paste the number sequence that you copied from Step 5 onto the blank.  Click on the Validate button to complete the process.

UCPB Connect Fund Transfer Validation

Note that sometimes it can take anywhere from 1 minute to 5 minutes for our system to synchronize with the bank.   So if you validate too soon, the screen may prompt you to retry.  You may retry up to 5 minutes.  If the validation still fails, email support@dragonpay.ph for assistance.

Dragonpay provides an alternative channel for purchasing goods or services from the Internet.  We allow buyers and sellers to conduct e-commerce without the use of traditional credit cards or PayPal, which have very low penetration in developing countries such as the Philippines.

Instead, buyers can pay for their purchases through the following means:

  1. Online Banking
  2. Over-the-Counter (OTC) Banking
  3. Over-the-Counter (OTC) Non-Banks

Online Banking allows anybody with Internet banking access to a local bank account, to make a payment that is debited against that account in real-time.  Customers enjoy a more secure payment environment and convenient access from anywhere on the Internet.  Currently supported banks include BDO, BPI, Metrobank, RCBC, Unionbank, UCPB, Chinabank, PNB, Maybank, RobinsonsBank, Sterling Bank of Asia, EastWest Bank, and selected BancNet Online member banks, with several more banks to follow in the near future.

Here are some frequently asked questions (FAQ) about our online bank payment gateway.

To know more about how online bank payments work, click this link.

OTC Banking allows anybody to walk-in to a branch of any of our supported banks to make a deposit-payment over-the-counter.  Dragonpay will automatedly monitor account activities and send an electronic notification to a merchant once a deposit-payment is detected.  For merchants dealing with large transaction volumes, the traditional method of requiring the customer to fax in a deposit slip and then doing a manual reconciliation with the bank statement is just not feasible. Dragonpay’s automated monitoring system for OTC deposits is a more scalable and economical solution.

Currently supported bank for over-the-counter deposit are Banco de Oro (BDO), Bank of the Philippine Islands (BPI), Metrobank, Rizal Commercial Banking Corp (RCBC), Chinabank, EastWest Bank (EWB), Landbank, Maybank, Philippine National Bank (PNB), RobinsonsBank, Security Bank, Sterling Bank of Asia, United Coconut Planters Bank (UCPB), and Unionbank, with more banks to follow.

Dragonpay has recently launched support for ATM-based payments.  Presently, banks supported for this channel are BDO, BPI, Unionbank, Chinabank, Maybank, RCBC, PNB and UCPB.  More banks soon to follow.

OTC Non-Bank allows anybody to walk-in to any branch of our partners to make a payment over-the-counter.  Dragonpay will automatedly monitor account activities and send an electronic notification to a merchant once a deposit-payment is detected.

Currently supported over-the-counter non-bank outlets are LBC branches, SM Payment Counters, Robinsons Department Stores (RDS), and M.Lhuillier branches nationwide. LBC has close to 900 branches nationwide operating from Mondays to Saturdays 8am to 5pm, with about 65% of these branches also open on Sundays and holidays.  SM Payment Counters can be found in more than 200 SM retail outlets nationwide (SM Department Stores, SM Supermarket, SM Hypermarket, Savemore Market, etc.).  M. Lhuillier has more than 1,400 branches nationwide operating 7 days a week, with some branches open 24 hours.

The steps for performing an over-the-counter non-bank payment is similar to over-the-counter bank payments except you just skip Step 6. Dragonpay gets the details directly from its payment partners so there is no need for additional validation from the customer.
